bathrobe, comfy, cozy, handmade, housecoat, robe, sew, skulls, Squish -

Ummmm I found heaven in fabric form.   It's a Squish Bathrobe/Housecoat and literally, it's heaven.   While it's not quite the season for something so warm I wear "housecoats" year round especially while nursing.   They are a quick and easy thing to take on and off to keep me warm plus they are super cozy.   I know my husband thinks I'm super attractive in mine ;)  (okay maybe not those words but he loves me and therefore loves my housecoats).   Unfortunately, I've been stuck with the boring ones you find at the store or choosing from Joann's fleece which honestly- is not...

Hooray!!  We are so close to the official start of summer I can taste it!   My kids love to be outside and love the water.   I love when they are outside- that's less time they are bothering me inside.... kidding.... kind of.   What I don't love is the sunblock game.  We use the super natural blah blah blah kids kind and they are always really thick and sticky and trying to chase down my kids to get it on is always super fun.  Plus that's another bath or two when I'm already giving two a day from the dirt!  Insert...

Brindille and Twig, Fabric, Featured Pattern, Handmade, Pants, Pattern, Sewing, Shorts -

This week I bring you a company feature is very special to my heart.   Brindille and Twig Pattern Company is essentially how I learned to sew clothing.  I actually started off sewing cloth diapers and then, of course, wanted to move into upcycling clothing.   Someone recommended Brindille and Twig as a great place to start and I was hooked!   The patterns are very easy to follow, have great instructions, and are of course adorable!  They even have videos for techniques that really helped me as a beginner.  Even now after sewing for years B&T is a go-to for me when sewing for my kiddos. ...

Summer is coming which means swim fabric galore!  I know I bought a ton in the reprint round and am excited to snag more for retail! Generally, when we think of swim fabric, of course, we think about swimsuits.   Well did you know it's great for athletic wear too!?   Especially summertime athletic wear or leggings for warmer weather in general.     The reason I love swim fabric for athletic wear is that it's great for breathability in turn keeping you nice and cool.  It'll wick away moisture and not show sweat the way cotton lycra does.   It also has SPF built...
