Spring and Summer are coming!! Yes, it's true- even to those of you still covered in snow- it will come!! Which means it's Woven fabrics time to really shine! It's lightweight breathability combined with those crisp lines and structure makes for the absolute sweetest dresses and rompers for kiddos! Today I'm bringing you a very special pattern! The new(ish) Baby Sutton and Sutton Pattern from Made for Mermaids! Our sweet little Rockerbye Baby turned one a few days ago and I knew she needed something special to wear. Made for Mermaids already had a youth version of the Sutton Pattern from a few years ago that I always loved so I figured what better way to celebrate her first birthday than to bring it to everyone in Baby sizes!
The baby version comes in sizes newborn to 18-24 months and includes a sleeveless option as well as a super sweet tied sleeve. You can choose between romper, dress, or top length for the bottom. It has an adorable front snap or button placket and princess seams for a sweet vintage feel! (Don't worry the placket isn't as hard or scary as it looks) There are also some adorable hacks including the ruffle sleeve as you see in Sutton's version, simple bodice, simple sleeve, and skirted romper.
The youth version comes in size 1/2 up to size 14 and is in dress and top length only but has the same sleeve options.
I just love the endless possibilities with this pattern from color blocking and trim to buttons and snaps! So much fun. Here are a few other versions I made for inspiration!
The Patterns are sale right now through Monday the 24th alone or bundled together so hurry and scoop it up! Made for Mermaids has given us a free pattern to giveaway to one of our lucky readers so enter the rafflecopter below. *P.S. it's projector friendly ;) *
