Rocking Rory in Rockerbye!

Rocking Rory in Rockerbye!

Yes I know- I get a little corny with my titles but I can't help it!!  Today's pattern feature is a bit dear to my heart because well-  I designed it!  Obviously I should love it but, I like, EXTRA love it and wanted to share it with you all with a bonus chance to win the pattern for free!  Drumroll please-  I'm talking about the Made for Mermaids Rory pattern!

Rory is a relaxed fit raglan with a slight dropped armscye and is packed with options!!   It's available in women's and youth sizing.

Women's Rory comes with this super awesome hooded low v-neck option as well as a hooded higher v- for more coverage.  The v-neck is done with facing making it really easy and clean (I know I love v-necks but seem to mess up every time I try to make one). You can also choose between a crossover hood or just regular banded neckline.  It's available in short sleeve, hemmed long sleeve, or cuffed long sleeve.   Lengths include crop banded or hemmed, high hip top, curved hem, and sweatshirt length hemmed or banded.  You all remember this super cute athletic pullover crop I made from the last round??  This is the super low v with drawstring crop and long sleeve.

Another thing I love about the Rory is it's great for panels because of the raglan feature.  It also comes with this free bonus lace up hack that is SO easy! How cute did this turn out??? It helps of course it's one of the most epic panels ever and part of the pre-order happening now but still!  I don't really recommend doing the full Rory in all cotton lycra for adults as it might create a boxy feel so I I chose something with more drape for my sleeves and back and used cotton lycra for the front, hood, and bands and I love how it turned out.

Now let's talk about the youth version.  I love it because it's perfect for all 3 of my kiddos!   It's available from roughly 9-12 months up to size 14 and comes with tons of options including a straight fit or a more fitted option (although it's still a loose fit overall).  For the neckline you can choose between basic neck band, cross over hood, or a standard hooded v-neck. Sleeve lengths include a mini and regular length short sleeve, 3/4 sleeve, and long sleeve hemmed or cuffed.   As for lengths there's hemmed or banded crop, high hip top, curved hem, and hemmed or banded sweatshirt length.   So many awesome possibilities!   This cute one for Sutton is a banded crop with mini short sleeve.   Look at that sweet belly poking out!!

For Emerson I accidently cut Sullivan's size so it's a bit big on him but still adorable! I did the cross over hood and regular short sleeve with the banded sweatshirt length.   Such a goofball and he's loving these pirates!

I know I'm biased but I'd say they are pretty cute!  Time to bust out all the matching sets! We are giving away two free Rory patterns of choice!   Enter the rafflecopter below for your chance to win.  We'll draw two winners on 5/10!  Don't forget pre-order ends on 5/9 so make sure you grab all the goodies.

Happy Sewing and Rocking

Your kids are adorable. My favorite pattern is tue sewing panels, which I think would look awsome as a Rory!
