Anything but Simple- Simple Life Celebration!

Anything but Simple- Simple Life Celebration!

Maybe it's because I'm having a girl but something about all our awesome Rockerbye prints sewn into adorable dresses might be my favorite thing.  That's why I'm so excited to bring you this fun blog.  I not only had the opportunity to test out an adorable pattern from The Simple Life Pattern Company, but it goes together with an awesome celebration sale they are having! I can't wait to share details but let's talk about the new pattern first!

Well, It's not totally new, but we now have a Baby version of the Patricia Dress Pattern.  Yay!  Such an adorable fun pattern and now it's available from sizes NB to 18-24 months for the baby pattern and 2t-12 for the girl's pattern. The Patricia is traditionally a woven pattern so perfect for Rockerbye Double Gauze but it has a Knit Bodice Add-on where you can make the whole thing from knit or just the bodice knit and the bottom woven. Both the woven and knit give you the options of sleeveless, short sleeves, bell sleeves, or long sleeves.  You can also choose between a top or a dress with a moderate or high low length.  It has a gathered skirt with an adorable ruffle hem although you could always leave off the extra ruffle for a standard hem.

With Valentines Day coming up I knew I needed to make my little niece a cute little hipster hearts dress!  I did the knit add on version in high low dress length, bell sleeves, and the ruffle hem. So stinking cute!! My little niece was in-between sizes so I made her the bigger size as it was sewn about a month and a half before v-day so I wanted to make sure she could wear it then in case of a big growth spurt! The finshed product is an adorable fit with growing room!  P.S.- that adorable headband?? That's SLPCO (Simple Life Pattern Company) Barb headband and it's free!

Adorable right?? I can't wait to make some summertime versions for all the girls in my life as well as a double gauze one!  The Baby Patricia is 20% off right now through the 18th so make sure you snag it on sale! If you want to do the knit version you'll need to buy the main pattern and the Knit Add on.

Now I obviously love this dress but The Simple Life Pattern Company has some of my favorite other dress patterns too.  They are celebrating their Anniversary right now so all patterns (minus new releases) are 40% off!!!  I can't even begin to list all the amazing patterns they have but a few favorites are the Jaimesyn, Aria, Isla,  Ayda, Lucy, Bella, the list goes on and on! A good mixture of woven and knit patterns and everything from dresses/tops to shorts, rompers, swimsuits and more! Go have a look but be prepared to want everything for your Rockerbye Stash!  They even have some matching Mama patterns. Here are some examples of some of these patterns in Rockerbye fabric.

First- The Isla Dress.  It has an adorable heart (or other shapes ) cut out option for the back and as well as everything from sleeve ruffles to either a top or dress version.  Seriously probably my favorite dress pattern out there!  I love these versions from Jennifer of Little Le Pew Apparel

And this stunning Galaxy version from Andrea of Pookey Poo Creations

Another favorite pattern is the Aria bow back dress.   Here is another example from Jennifer-   How sweet are those bows!?

Some awesome Rockerbye Stripes for this one from Becca of Eutsler Haberdashery

Finally- how cute are these versions from Annie of Oh Sew Ophelia

This is just a little taste of all the amazing options and patterns SLPCO has!  Use the code HAPPYBDAYSLPCO when shopping the sale! Make sure you head on over and pick some out. I can't wait to see all the epic Rockerbye dresses you make out of them!   All this perfect timing for V-day dresses too. The sales go through the 18th so don't forget!

Happy Sewing and Rocking,

Michelle
